While many of the players in the top 100 are competing at RLCS or RLRS levels, there is certainly no direct correlation between the two. The perfect example of that is the 3v3 ranking leaderboard. When you look at events and tournaments in Rocket League, there is always a jump between the rank of a player and the success they have in leagues and events. Remember that ranking up is only one aspect of the game to determine how good you are.
